Cookie Policy
Effective 1 October 2026. Last updated 1 October 2026.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (local storage) works the same way but is never sent to the website's server. We list both here so you can see everything the Site stores in your browser.
2. The short version
- Nothing that sets a cookie loads until you press Accept on the cookie notice.
- If you press Reject, or ignore the notice, no analytics code runs and no cookie is set.
- We use no advertising, remarketing, profiling or social media cookies.
- The calculators work the same whichever you choose.
3. Every cookie and storage item we use
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
lmi.cookie-consent.v1 | LMI Calculator Australia | Browser storage (essential) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so the cookie notice does not ask again. Never sent to us. | Until you clear it or press the button below |
_ga | Google Analytics | Cookie (analytics, only if you accept) | Tells one visitor from another so page views are not double counted. | 2 years |
_ga_S8D31X9G41 | Google Analytics | Cookie (analytics, only if you accept) | Keeps track of the current visit for this website. | 2 years |
Google processes analytics data under its own terms, set out in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. We do not use Google's advertising or remarketing features.
4. Change or withdraw your choice
This button clears your saved choice, deletes the Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page so the cookie notice asks again:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. More about your information
How we collect, use and store personal information, and how to make a complaint, is set out in our privacy policy.
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this page before we add any new cookie or storage item. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
7. Contact
Questions about cookies go to the operator of LMI Calculator Australia: hello@lmicalculator.com.au
